Landscape irrigation accounts for 65% of the water consumed by urban supply systems – and the federal government estimates half of this is wasted.  As California faces a drought; AIM Landscape & Irrigation, Inc. is committed to help our customers be ‘water wise’ with their sprinkler systems.  Here are some helpful tips to make sure your landscape irrigation is water efficient.

  • Timing is important.  Set your sprinkler timer to early morning.
  • Mulch to Save Water. Maintaining a 3″ – 5″ layer of mulch over the plant roots is one of the best water-conservation practices for you landscape.
  • Where is the Water Going? To avoid water waste due to run off; use drip irrigation or a soak-er hose for planter areas and trees. Make sure that all the sprinkler heads are cleaned and turned toward the landscape area.  Lastly, broken and leaky pipes and valves result in wasted water.

AIM Landscape & Irrigation, Inc. can provide a complete and professional Landscape Irrigation Inspection at a price that is affordable.  Call today to have our irrigation experts thoroughly check your sprinkler system and start saving water and money today!  (661) 252-1788

Not sure if you are watering too much or too little?  Take all the guess work out of it with a Weather-based irrigation system.  These Smart Sprinklers receive weather information via satelite and automatically program your system to water accordingly.  Weather-based sprinkler controllers are available for properties of all sizes.  Residental, Commerial and HOA properties are experiencing huge savings in their budget and water usage.

This landscape irrigation is key. I’ve heard good things about AIM and the Weather Trak system. It’s a little out of my price range now, though. I am saving water in my home, at least, using water conserving products i got from eartheasy.com. So easy to install, and I’m hoping will make a big difference in my water usage. the link where i got them is: http://eartheasy.com/shop/water_save.htm

I hope everyone tries really hard with this issue. It’s hard to survive on Coke!
